In my third year at Falmouth University on the Animation & VFX course, we were able to either create or aid in pitching a film idea to a panel of judges ,which if then chosen would move into the preproduction phase. Two of the four films I had attached myself to were greenlit, and one of those being 'Anoxia'.

During preproduction for 'Anoxia' the animation and art style, explored by our art director Lily Lord, was fully realised early on in the process. This left us time to test and integrate CG elements ,for complex layouts and camera movements and sea life animation. Furthermore, this also gave us time to experiment with the Ebsynth software that enabled us to efficiently animate water and an in-motion ocean landscape in a painterly style.

This film is currently still in production.
